About Us

Twelve Step Pets is dedicated to the health and happiness of your pet and you! We love to see people and their pets enriching each other's lives.

Because we truly care about animals, we have pledged to donate a percentage of online sales to the PetFinder Foundation, an organization that helps find homes for animals, by helping agencies that rescue them from abusive and neglectful situations or saving them from animal control facilities that only have room to keep impounded animals for a few days before they are euthanized.

Twelve Step Pets is located in South Central Texas' Hill Country, where we're surrounded by the local deer, skunk, opossum and fox populations. We feed and water our "pet" deer and name the special ones. Our "pet" project right now is to make sure Speed Racer, our injured yearling, gets his fair share of the deer food and watermelon, which is his favorite!

Animals bring so much joy to our lives. The models on this site are Spike, the Shih-tzu Poodle mix and Flicker, the 10-year-old Standard Poodle/Collie/Border Collie. and the two pups, Pepe and Colby. They insist on taking us for a walk nearly every day, even in the sweltering Summertime. Many of the items we offer are inspired by our dogs, especially the arthritis package. These supplements have made a tremendous difference in Flicker's quality of life.
